Job Description:

Vision of Payments Orchestration Layer (POL) is to introduce lean and reusable payment orchestration engine that will route payments from initiation through security to a successful execution. It will remove bespoke and duplicate code and insert effective touch points with specialized applications needed for the payment journey (customer channel / industry gateway, sanctions screening, fraud and money laundering prevention, generation of payments instructions, submission to payment processors, bookkeeping). It will be an enabler to deliver new product features at high speed, low cost and with the desired quality.

Job Responsibility:

Create and update API/microservice design and documentation
Review and signoff user stories written by Ops BA and low-level design created by Tech Architects
Perform code review and ensure coding standards are followed and code is written in alignment with the architecture principles. Own and arrange code review with management team
Work with IT PM to create a project plan and ensure adherence to the plan and provide assistance to IT PM on the ITSA process
Have communication channel with tech architects and management team to update on the progress and blockers
Work with DevOps Lead to ensure pipeline requirements are fed into the DevOps book of work on time
Work with Test QAs to ensure all quality gates are applied on the deliverables
Create production support walkthrough document and release checklist document

Requirements:

At least 5+ years of overall experience in Java applications/micro-services development. Solid Core Java foundation, including data structure, lambda, stream, JVM and multiple-thread
Knowledge of following technologies: Bash/Shell, Groovy or Java, Unix/Linux, Jenkins, GitHub, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, Istio Service Mesh
Relational database operation and development experience: Oracle, MySQL, etc.
Experience in designing, building and maintaining distributed containerised platforms. Understanding of the lifecycle of software programming
Experience in performing unit test and API test is mandatory, performance test will be an advantage
Delivering CICD pipelines for automated deployments
Basic knowledge of Linux command and shell script
Strong analytical and communication skills. Proficiency in English (spoken and written) required

Nice to have:

API design experience will be in an advantage
Knowledge of DevOps tools: Jenkins, Docker and Git, etc.
