Job Description:

Mentimeter is an engagement tool that turns presentations into conversations. The Workplace Integrations team is a newly formed team focused on building bridges that make Mentimeter indispensable within existing workplace ecosystems, enabling strategic integrations with platforms like Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace. The team works with a tech stack including React (Next.js, Typescript), Ruby, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, Redis, PostgreSQL, Cloudflare, AWS, and various third-party APIs and SDKs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and build scalable integration architectures connecting Mentimeter with integrations
  • Ensure integrations meet enterprise requirements for security, compliance, and reliability
  • Build monitoring systems to maintain high availability
  • Create developer-friendly documentation
  • Balance technical decisions that serve both immediate user needs and long-term scalability
  • Contribute to strategic decisions about future integrations
  • Build deep domain knowledge about the workplace ecosystem
  • Contribute insights on which platforms will drive the most value for users and business
  • Engage with the team in product and design decisions

Requirements:

  • Experience building integrations with third-party platforms or working extensively with external APIs
  • Understanding of the complexities of distributed systems and async workflows
  • Comfort navigating technical documentation from various vendors
  • Security-first mindset, especially in enterprise contexts
  • Knowledge of React
  • Knowledge of Ruby or another backend language and willingness to learn Ruby
  • Passion for software development, scalable architecture, and building great products
  • Interest in testing and automation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Curious mindset, open to learning & sharing knowledge
  • Interest in working with the tech stack
