We are currently looking for a candidate for the position of Fullstack Developer (he/she) for our client from the biotechnology industry.
Job Responsibility:
Maintaining and supporting Google Cloud Search and related extensions (e.g., gSite SearchPlus)
Configuring, customizing, and maintaining the Sinequa search platform
Implementing data ingestion procedures using connectors and APIs
Developing, testing, debugging, and documenting search-based applications
Integrating advanced search capabilities into new and existing applications
Monitoring and optimizing search performance, including indexing and relevancy tuning
Troubleshooting issues related to search indexing, relevance, and data retrieval
Ensuring data quality, taxonomy consistency, and index integrity
Collaborating with Product Owners, Solution Architects, developers, and data experts to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Implementing security best practices to protect sensitive data within search solutions
Continuously improving user experience by gathering feedback and enhancing search interfaces
Staying up to date with enterprise search trends and leveraging new platform capabilities to drive
Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in the same or a similar role (Enterprise Search Specialist, Search Engineer, Search Platform Engineer, or related)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Hands-on experience with Sinequa or similar enterprise search platforms (e.g., Elasticsearch, Apache Solr, Coveo)
Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Proficient in a programming/scripting language such as Angular, Python, .NET (or Java)
Experience with data integration tools and techniques (REST API, Postman)
Understand search concepts such as indexing, query processing, and relevancy tuning
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience with COTS configuration, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and toolchains supporting off-the-shelf technologies
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Nice to have:
Experience with additional enterprise search technologies such as Elasticsearch or Apache Solr
Background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning applied to search
Solid understanding of search algorithms and Information Retrieval principles
Experience with data taxonomy, metadata management, and data governance best practices
Proven track record in search performance optimization (low latency, high relevance)
