Job Description

As a FullStack Developer (Scala/Java & Angular), you will contribute to the development of modern, high-performance applications within an agile environment in Luxembourg. You will work on both backend and frontend components while promoting software quality and engineering best practices.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Scala (strongly preferred) or Java
  • Develop REST APIs using the Play Framework
  • Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces with Angular
  • Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka
  • Work with MongoDB and SQL databases to develop efficient and scalable data solutions
  • Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and application quality

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience as a FullStack Developer
  • Strong experience with Scala (mandatory and highly valued)
  • Good knowledge of Java and the JVM ecosystem
  • Experience with the Play Framework
  • Strong knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS
  • Experience with Apache Kafka
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB
  • Knowledge of REST API development and software engineering best practices
  • Experience with Git and Agile methodologies
  • Good communication skills and a proactive mindset

Nice to have

  • Experience with functional programming
  • Knowledge of Spring Boot or Akka/Pekko
  • Experience with automated testing and CI/CD
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies
