Job Description:

The Digital S/W Engineer Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business.

Job Responsibility:

Execute and drive mid-size feature application design and development efforts
Serve as a development lead on medium-scale projects
Analyze and troubleshoot coding, application performance and design challenges
Research root cause of development and performance concerns
Resolve defects
Understand engineering needs including those required to build, maintain, and operate the system
Participate in design discussions as a Development Lead
Participate in the full development life cycle
Directly impact the business by influencing strategic functional decisions
Communicate progress, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management
Regularly review metrics and proactively seek out new mechanisms for visibility
Continuously assess development processes, test plans, and operations
Work with teams to improve concurrent project delivery
Share knowledge with the team
Assess risk when business decisions are made

Requirements:

8 - 12 years in a product development/product management environment
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Data driven and results-oriented
Experience delivering with an agile methodology
Experience in affecting large culture change
Experience leading infrastructure programs
Skilled at working with third party service providers
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
Design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of web applications
Develop user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks - React, HTML, and CSS
Develop server-side logic and APIs using languages such as Java, Node.js, or similar
SQL and PL/SQL knowledge, understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) like Oracle database
Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs
Familiarity using CI/CD tools to build and deploy code (e.g. Docker, Jenkins, OpenShift), understanding Lightspeed
Experience with Agile development methodologies and JIRA
Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
