Job Description:

Are you a compassionate and resilient individual looking for a fulfilling role in education? A leading specialist school is urgently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a rare temp-to-perm opportunity, offering you the chance to secure a permanent, full-time position after a successful 12-week temporary period. You'll be part of a supportive and highly-resourced school environment, working with students aged 5 to 18 who have complex special educational needs.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in small class settings, typically supporting 4-5 students
Work alongside experienced teachers to create a positive learning environment
Provide tailored support and help students thrive both academically and personally

Requirements:

A strong desire to support students with complex needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students
Must be available full-time, Monday to Friday
An Enhanced DBS check for both children and adults is required
A full driving license and access to a car is highly recommended due to the school's location
Genuine passion for working with children with diverse learning needs, including those with autism and physical disabilities
