Job Description:

We have vacancies for Full Time Professional Care Workers. We are looking for UNIQUE individuals that really want to make a difference to our clients' lives. This role is well suited to an individual who is looking to enhance their skill set within the care sector and gain hands-on experience working with a range of clients in a thriving and supportive workplace. Based within the Leicester branch, you will work directly with the clients, providing them support with all aspects of their care needs, including personal care, medication, meal preparation, household tasks and companionship. This exciting position gives you the hands on experience to deliver high quality care to our clients and truly make a difference to their lives. There is also the opportunity to progress into senior roles within the team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Companionship
  • Assisting with personal care for example, showering, bathing, dressing
  • Helping with meals such as breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • General cleaning duties & laundry
  • Prompting medication where required
  • Supporting with Clinical Tasks

Requirements:

  • Driving license
  • At least 12 months experience in Care
  • Legal right to work in the UK is required

  • Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting clients when required, with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing and all other aspects of daily living
  • Assist clients in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual)
  • Provide attention when needed, whilst ensuring clients retain their comfort and dignity
  • Pay particular attention to assisting clients who have limited mobility, or physical / learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided
  • Closely monitor clients who may be confused and/or who have behavioural problems
  • Assist in the promotion of continence
  • Assist in the delivery of care for clients who are dying or who have a progressive illness. Assist with last offices
  • Observe care planning needs for clients and complete written daily records as instructed and in line with the company’s policies and procedures
  • Assist in a framework of social activities by interacting with clients and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the care home
  • Answer nurse call system, giving assistance as required. Answer the door and telephone appropriately. Respond accordingly and pass on messages promptly
