Job Description:

The AI Acceleration of Target State Compliance team, part of Citi's CTO organization, is a small, global team dedicated to building innovative solutions for the wider bank. Our solutions are used by developers across Citi, requiring them to be robust and high-quality. We focus on delivering capabilities that support secure data sharing for Agentic AI, enhance data governance, and drive modern architecture through various tools. This role offers significant exposure to cutting-edge AI solutions and development within a dynamic technical environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • User Experience (UX) Focus: Design and build intuitive and visually appealing platform capabilities catering to a diverse end-user audience across the firm
  • AI-Powered UI Interoperability: Drive the vision and implementation of AI to enhance user interface interactions and improve workflows
  • Technical Leadership: Lead and manage technical components within the team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving best practices
  • Software Development: Develop, implement, and maintain high-quality code using object-oriented programming principles in languages such as Java, Python, or Golang
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment
  • Troubleshooting: Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems and bugs efficiently
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with teammates on shared components and codebases, fostering a collaborative development environment
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure software quality through rigorous code reviews, technical design reviews, unit testing, and integration testing

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of proven experience as a full-stack software engineer with a passion for modern web development
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and react.js, HTML, CSS, with Node.js is optional
  • Demonstrated experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (e.g., OpenShift)
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and message queuing systems
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficient in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Golang)
  • Strong grasp of technical fundamentals including networking, databases, and CLI
  • Passion for delivering clean, testable, and maintainable code
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where requirements may evolve

Nice to have:

  • Strong ability to articulate complex technical ideas and present them effectively to senior leadership
  • Understanding of Generative AI capabilities, including system prompts, tool selection, and Model Context Protocol for data and service sharing
