Job Description

The BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) Engineering team delivers the core platform that allows customers to run ClickHouse Cloud securely inside their own cloud environments. We design and operate the controller and automation that provisions, configures, and manages cloud infrastructure and ClickHouse clusters across AWS, GCP, and Azure—while ensuring a seamless, cloud-native experience that meets strict compliance, security, and networking requirements. Our team builds the abstraction layers, Kubernetes-based orchestration, and multi-cloud automation that power the BYOC deployment model end-to-end. To complement our current cloud infrastructure and backend expertise, we are looking for a full-stack engineer who can help us build intuitive user experiences, strengthen our control-plane services, and bridge the gap between our backend systems and customer-facing workflows.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and build key features, focusing on frontend and backend systems that streamline onboarding, monitoring and maintaining experience for users
  • Work closely with our ClickHouse Control Plane team, and partner with them to produce better user experience of our BYOC offering

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills
  • Proficiency in at least one front-end framework, such as React, Vue.js, or Angular
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a global team
  • Strong problem-solver and have solid production debugging skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, and see yourself as a partner with the business with the shared goal of moving the business forward
  • High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience developing cloud infrastructure services, preferably with Kubernetes

What we offer

  • Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in 20 countries
  • Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare
  • Equity in the company - Every new team member who joins our company receives stock options
  • Time off - Flexible time off in the US, generous entitlement in other countries
  • A $500 Home office setup if you’re a remote employee
  • Global Gatherings – We believe in the power of in-person connection and offer opportunities to engage with colleagues at company-wide offsites
