Job Description:

Citi is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer for their Integration Services team in Mississauga. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining core components of the UI Platform Services and collaborating on innovative solutions using modern development practices. Candidates need strong skills in Java, front-end JavaScript frameworks, microservices architecture, containerization, and database technologies.

Job Responsibility:

Design, develop, and maintain core components of UI Platform Services, including cloud-native microservices, APIs, and user interfaces
ensure seamless integration with other platform services
collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions
build scalable, resilient, and secure systems using modern software development practices
contribute to platform evolution by exploring and implementing new technologies, enhancing capabilities, and improving developer experience

Requirements:

Extensive experience with Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot)
proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and related technologies (HTML, CSS)
experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
understanding of microservices principles and experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices (unit, integration, and end-to-end testing)
excellent communication and teamwork skills
strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Nice to have:

Experience with OpenShift or Cloud Foundry
experience with DevSecOps practices
experience with SRE best practices
financial industry experience
