Job Description

The Operational Finance team at Arrive is a vital function responsible for delivering the financial reporting that powers our invoicing and remittance processes for internal partners and external parking operators. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will join a team where every developer has end-to-end ownership of the development cycle - from initial analysis and development to testing, monitoring, and maintenance. This is a high-impact opportunity to work with production data in a dynamic environment, collaborating with stakeholders to translate complex business needs into robust technical solutions.

Job Responsibility

  • End-to-End Ownership: Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from initial concept and analysis through to deployment and monitoring
  • System Enhancement: Read and master complex business logic within backend services to enhance and scale existing solutions based on evolving requirements
  • Quality & Sustainability: Advocate for industry best practices to alleviate technical debt and ensure long-term code health
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Arrive and communicate with stakeholders to grasp and refine requirements
  • Operational Excellence: Provide product support, participate in on-call duties, and manage rapid delivery in a DevOps-oriented environment

Requirements

  • Full Stack Expertise: Strong competence in Java or Kotlin (Spring Framework) for backend microservices, alongside exposure to front-end technologies like React and JavaScript
  • Data Proficiency: Solid understanding of data modeling and management tools such as PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or Looker
  • DevOps & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code, with a focus on rapid, reliable delivery
  • Testing Rigor: Proven experience in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, specifically utilizing Behaviour Driven Testing
  • Technical Foundations: Knowledge of RESTful APIs and database versioning tools like Flyway or Liquibase
  • Operational Readiness: Ability to work during CET/CEST business hours and readiness for occasional US-based collaboration and short business trips
