Job Description:

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for participating in the design, development, and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs, with a focus on Java full-stack technologies. This role requires a solid understanding of Java development principles, experience with modern front-end technologies, and the ability to contribute to projects from conception to deployment.

Job Responsibility:

participate in the development of Java-based web applications, utilizing Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud), RESTful APIs, and modern front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)
contribute to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, and risk technology assessments
assist in establishing and implementing new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs
monitor and control all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation
provide user and operational support on applications to business users
analyze complex problems and issues
recommend and develop security measures in post-implementation analysis of business usage
consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues
recommend advanced programming solutions and assist in customer exposure systems
ensure essential procedures are followed and define operating standards and processes
serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts
participate in unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the application
participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards
utilize GitHub for version control
deploy and manage applications on Openshift
participate in Agile development processes using JIRA for task management and sprint planning

Requirements:

8+ years of relevant experience in applications development with a focus on Java full-stack development
experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications using Java technologies
solid understanding of Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud), RESTful APIs, and modern front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)
experience with SQL Server database technologies and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, JPA)
experience in managing and implementing successful projects
working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
familiarity with DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing is a plus
experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Openshift) is a plus
proficiency in using GitHub for version control
experience using JIRA for Agile project management
