Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager to support daily operations at a full-service hotel in the Royal Oak/Southfield, MI area. This role partners closely with the General Manager to drive operational excellence, lead teams, and deliver outstanding guest and employee experiences across all departments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support daily hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage
  • Serve as Manager on Duty and lead service recovery efforts
  • Coach, develop, and engage department leaders and hourly teams
  • Assist with labor management, scheduling, forecasting, and cost control
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and implement service improvements
  • Collaborate with Sales, Maintenance, and Revenue teams
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
  • Prepare reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Step in for the General Manager as needed

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hotel management or supervisory experience in a full-service environment
  • Strong operational knowledge across hotel departments
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
