Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Recruiter to join an exiting start up client in San Mateo, CA. This role is 100% on-site, and will be responsible to lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, managing vendor relationships, and supporting various aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and orientation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment while ensuring smooth HR operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive full-cycle recruitment efforts for diverse roles across technical and business teams, ensuring a streamlined hiring process
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements, develop evaluation strategies, and ensure alignment on candidate expectations
  • Source, screen, and assess candidates, maintaining proactive communication throughout the hiring journey
  • Coordinate interview schedules, manage stakeholder communication, and facilitate post-interview decision-making processes
  • Build and manage relationships with external recruitment vendors and agencies, ensuring consistency in hiring practices
  • Monitor and maintain applicant tracking systems, providing updates on hiring metrics and pipeline activity
  • Organize onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition and positive first-day experience
  • Support HR initiatives such as compliance tracking, documentation management, and process improvements
  • Partner with educational institutions and community programs to enhance early-career and campus recruiting efforts
  • Serve as a resource for employees, addressing HR-related inquiries and fostering a supportive workplace environment

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes
  • At least 3 years of experience in HR operations, including employee lifecycle support
  • Proven ability to onboard new hires effectively and deliver engaging orientation sessions
  • Strong experience coordinating with third-party vendors to ensure recruitment goals are met
  • Previous exposure to startup or high-growth environments is highly preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to represent the organization to senior-level candidates
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems such as Lever, Greenhouse, BambooHR, or Workday is a plus
