Join a well-established, custom home builder based in West Palm Beach and play a key role in managing the financial health of a growing, high-end construction business. As the Construction Bookkeeper, you will oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely billing, and smooth coordination across projects.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the full accounting cycle, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Oversee contract billing and time & materials invoicing
Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
Prepare financial statements and internal reports in accordance with accounting standards
Process payroll for employees and subcontractors
Handle monthly client billing and maintain organized financial records
Track budgets, cost codes, and manage notices to owners
Utilize construction accounting software to streamline financial operations
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, ideally within the construction or home building industry
Strong understanding of accounting principles and job costing
Experience with construction accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, preferably in a construction company
Proficiency in Sage 100 or Master Builder construction software
Experience with AIA billing and handling AIA documents
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively within the team
