We are partnering with a leading organization to identify a motivated and detail‑oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their onsite accounting team in Indianapolis. This role is ideal for candidates who excel in accuracy, organization, and possess a strong foundation in accounting principles.
Job Responsibility:
Support the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank statements and benefit-related accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Process and set up employee garnishments and interrogatories
Maintain and update financial databases, records, and filing systems
Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from internal teams—such as Accounting and Payroll—as well as external clients and employees regarding items such as garnishments, HSA contributions, and 401(k) deductions
Assist external auditors during annual audit activities
Perform additional accounting tasks and provide support to the finance team as needed
Requirements:
Education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (associate degree preferred
bachelor’s a plus)
Experience in bookkeeping or staff accounting with solid knowledge of accounting principles
Proficient in accounting software (such as QuickBooks or Xero) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Capable of working independently and collaboratively
Familiar with tax regulations and compliance (preferred)
Demonstrates integrity, reliability, and confidentiality
