We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a manufacturing company and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. This is a permanent position suited for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Job Responsibility:
Manage accounts payable processes, including reviewing invoices, writing checks, and maintaining accurate records
Oversee payroll operations for approximately 50 employees, utilizing Paychex software to handle bonuses, 401(k) contributions, and other employee benefits
Conduct month-end financial reconciliations, including verifying inventory, updating general ledger entries, and preparing journal entries
Maintain bank account balances and ensure the accuracy of financial statements sent to external accounting firms
Track and manage company assets, including purchasing equipment and updating asset lists upon completion
Assist with onboarding new employees, including setting up payroll and benefits such as short-term disability and life insurance
Ensure timely applications for employee benefits, including 401(k) enrollment and annual health insurance negotiations
Utilize Macola software for integrated financial tasks and maintain proficiency in Excel for pivot tables and vlookups
Collaborate with the team to complete financial applications and submit required documentation
Support the company in maintaining compliance with financial regulations and policies
Requirements:
Proven experience in full charge bookkeeping, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, payroll processing, and financial reconciliation
Proficiency in Macola software and advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and vlookups
Ability to manage general ledger and journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail
Familiarity with asset tracking and management processes
Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred, but candidates with equivalent experience will be considered
