Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. In this role, you will oversee the full spectrum of bookkeeping functions in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a supportive leadership team and contribute to the financial success of a growing organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records
  • Oversee month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and financial statements
  • Utilize NetSuite to manage and track financial data effectively
  • Collaborate with leadership to create and maintain budgets and forecasts
  • Provide light human resources support, such as assisting with employee records, as needed
  • Supervise and provide guidance to an assistant handling accounts payable tasks
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
  • Generate detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with special projects and tasks as directed by management

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, preferably in the construction or a related industry
  • Proficiency in NetSuite is required
  • experience with QuickBooks is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Demonstrated expertise in month-end close processes and financial reporting
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team
  • Familiarity with businesses in the $5-25 million revenue range is preferred
