We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in La Mesa, California. In this Contract to permanent role, you will manage the full bookkeeping cycle for a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries. This position requires someone who is detail oriented, thrives in a hybrid work environment, and is comfortable working independently while ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial processes.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of up to 30 client accounts across various industries
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining an accurate general ledger
Generate monthly financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure account accuracy
Execute backlog cleanup projects to bring accounts up-to-date using automation tools
Assist with payroll posting and reconciliation, ensuring payroll records are accurate
Maintain bookkeeping practices in alignment with established accounting standards
Ensure organized and consistent documentation and recordkeeping across all accounts
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is mandatory
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with standard accounting principles and practices
Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously with efficiency
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently
Nice to have:
Experience with leveraging automation tools or improving workflows is a plus
