We are seeking a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage our comprehensive financial records and support organizational integrity from our Riverside office. This role is part-time, averaging 6 hours daily with a flexible schedule. Training will be provided on-site, and the position can grow into a remote opportunity, though candidates must remain local.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate financial records by managing general ledger entries and utilizing accounting software such as QuickBooks, Enterprise, Sage, or similar platforms
Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records
Prepare and record journal entries, including debits and credits, to accurately reflect all financial transactions
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
Assist in payroll processing and related tax filings while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
Conduct balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations to verify account accuracy
Analyze financial data to support budgeting processes and prepare reports for management review
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and applicable regulations, including governmental accounting when required
Prepare financial reports and provide detailed account analyses as needed
Maintain organized and secure records of all financial transactions for audit purposes
Requirements:
Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
experience with Quicken is a plus
Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger accounting
Familiarity with account analysis, budget management, and tax preparation
Ability to accurately perform account reconciliation tasks and maintain consistency in financial records
Proficiency in 10-key typing for efficient and accurate data entry
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently
Nice to have:
Experience in non-profit or governmental accounting
Prior experience in public accounting or financial reporting
