Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Stuart, Florida. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an opportunity to showcase your expertise in accounting and bookkeeping while contributing to the efficiency of our financial operations. The role requires precision, organization, and a commitment to meeting deadlines, especially during tax season.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records through meticulous data entry and organization
Perform bookkeeping tasks, including managing the general ledger and recording financial transactions
Prepare trial balances to ensure all financial data is accurate and balanced
Process payroll returns with attention to detail and compliance
Handle sales tax filings, ensuring timely and correct submissions
Assist with tax preparation for both individual and business clients
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth financial operations
Adapt to extended work hours during tax season to meet client needs

Requirements:

Proficiency in accounting software systems and computerized accounting tools
Strong experience with Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing financial data
Solid knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Familiarity with sales tax and payroll tax returns
Prior experience in tax filings and general accounting practices is highly preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
