We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a business in San Jose, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can independently manage core accounting activities, maintain accurate records, and keep financial processes running smoothly. The right candidate will bring strong QuickBooks expertise along with a hands-on approach to payables, receivables, and account reconciliation.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping functions to ensure financial records are current, organized, and accurate
Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and monitor outgoing transactions to support efficient accounts payable operations
Manage customer billing, record incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances within accounts receivable
Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and maintain reliable financial data
Maintain and update accounting information in QuickBooks with a high level of accuracy and consistency
Review financial activity, resolve routine accounting issues, and support steady day-to-day bookkeeping operations
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience handling full charge bookkeeping responsibilities in a business environment
Proficiency using QuickBooks for daily accounting and financial record maintenance
Practical knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice review and payment processing
Practical knowledge of accounts receivable functions, including billing and cash application
Experience completing bank reconciliations accurately and on schedule
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple accounting tasks independently
