We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations for our organization in Kent, WA. This role is responsible for overseeing the full accounting cycle, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting leadership with timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Job Responsibility:
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger
Process and reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Prepare and post journal entries and manage month-end close
Maintain accurate financial statements and internal reports
Process payroll and related filings
manage benefits billing as needed
Prepare sales tax, B& O tax, and other state/local filings
Work with external CPA on year-end close, audits, and tax preparation
Maintain organized financial records and support compliance requirements
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and control
Requirements:
5+ years of full charge bookkeeping or equivalent accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
Experience managing the full accounting cycle independently
Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks required
other ERPs a plus)
Strong Excel skills and general Microsoft Office proficiency
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Nice to have:
Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses
Knowledge of Washington State tax requirements (B& O tax, sales/use tax)
Prior experience supporting construction, manufacturing, or service-based companies (if applicable)
