A growing construction and development company is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee the company's accounting operations from transaction processing through financial reporting. This position offers significant autonomy and will work directly with ownership to ensure accurate financial management and reporting. The ideal candidate has experience handling the full accounting cycle and enjoys working in a hands-on environment.
Job Responsibility
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking activities
Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries
Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare financial statements and management reports
Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting activities
Process payroll and payroll-related reporting
Track job costs and project-related expenses
Review subcontractor invoices and vendor payments
Assist with lien waiver documentation and project reporting
Support external CPA and year-end financial reviews
Requirements
5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Prior Full Charge Bookkeeper experience preferred
Construction, real estate, or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Foundation, Sage 100, or similar software
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
