Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee financial operations for our hospitality-focused organization in Palm Springs, California. The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and thrives collaborating with internal teams and external partners. A proven track record in accounting and financial management within hospitality or HOA environments is highly preferred.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards
Perform detailed bank reconciliations and maintain transaction records
Prepare and analyze balance sheets, general ledgers, and other financial reports
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
Collaborate with external auditing teams for annual fiscal audits
Provide financial insights at board and finance meetings
Work closely with shareholders and stakeholders to manage financial reporting and compliance
Utilize intermediate Excel skills to analyze and organize financial data
Ensure financial processes align with hospitality and HOA industry standards
Provide guidance and support to an assistant

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping, ideally within the hospitality or HOA industries
Proficiency in financial systems, including Northstar and other relevant accounting software
Strong knowledge of general ledger, balance sheets, and bank reconciliation processes
Intermediate-level expertise in Excel for data analysis and reporting
Ability to manage year-end closings and collaborate with auditors effectively
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrates attention to detail and experience participating in board and finance meetings
Ability to work onsite and contribute to a team-focused environment
