Job Description:

Robert Half is actively searching for a multi-faceted Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is a Contract-to-Permanent Full Charge Bookkeeper position that offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills in accounting and finance will be highly valued.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Oversee AR collections, including direct communication with clients to ensure timely payments
  • Utilize QuickBooks to manage daily accounting tasks and produce financial reports
  • Collaborate with team members to administer payroll and employee benefits when required
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and other financial analyses to support business decision-making
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures
  • Work with external auditors or tax professionals during annual reviews or tax filings
  • Provide support in implementing or transitioning to financial systems such as Sage or NetSuite
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information at all times

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally within small to midsize businesses
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable collections, including client outreach
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and employee benefits administration is a plus
  • Experience with Sage and/or NetSuite is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially for client interactions
