Job Description

Our team is seeking a highly skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper for a temp-to-hire opportunity in North Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing the entire bookkeeping function and be proficient in either QuickBooks or Sage. This role includes maintaining accurate financial records, handling payroll, and supporting reporting requirements. Candidates must be detail-oriented, trustworthy, and able to pass a background check.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Process payroll and maintain payroll records
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Maintain and update the general ledger and post journal entries
  • Manage budgeting and cash flow
  • Assist with regulatory filings and compliance (such as sales tax)
  • Coordinate with external accountants for audits and year-end processes
  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of financial data

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a full charge bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks OR Sage is required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
