Job Description

Robert Half Permanent Placement is partnering with a long-established Grand Island, NY religious institution on their search for a Full Charge Bookkeeper due to an upcoming retirement. Starting salary for this role is $65,000 - $70,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package. In this role you will serve as a key member of the leadership team by overseeing financial management, human resources, facilities operations, and administrative functions to ensure the effective and efficient operation of a thriving organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and actively manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and financial reporting
  • Administer all human resources activities, including bi-weekly payroll processing, employee benefits administration, onboarding, and personnel record management
  • Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze departmental budgets in partnership with leadership to support strategic and operational objectives.
  • Oversee daily administrative operations while providing leadership and direction to office, maintenance, and custodial staff
  • Serve as the primary liaison with partner offices, auditors, financial institutions, contractors, and other external stakeholders
  • Manage facilities and property operations, ensuring buildings and grounds are maintained in a safe, functional, and cost-effective manner
  • Coordinate and oversee approved maintenance, repair, renovation, and capital improvement projects from planning through completion

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounting, financial management, payroll, and human resources administration
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
  • Proficiency with accounting software, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships
