This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a background in construction accounting and small business operations. Job Responsibility:
Oversee and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions
Handle payroll for a small team of employees, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations
Perform general ledger maintenance and prepare financial reports to support business decision-making
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify accuracy and ensure proper account management
Utilize American Contractor software and Excel for accounting tasks and financial tracking
Collaborate with management to provide insights into financial performance and opportunities for improvement
Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures
Monitor and control cash flow to support operational needs
Assist with budgeting and forecasting to align financial plans with company goals
Ensure all financial tasks are completed in a timely and detail-oriented manner
Requirements:
Proven experience in full charge bookkeeping, including construction industry expertise
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly American Contractor and Excel
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes

Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
