Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper for a client in Renton, Washington. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a background in construction accounting and small business operations. The role involves managing financial activities with accuracy and efficiency, contributing to the overall success of business operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions
  • Handle payroll for a small team of employees, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations
  • Perform general ledger maintenance and prepare financial reports to support business decision-making
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to verify accuracy and ensure proper account management
  • Utilize American Contractor software and Excel for accounting tasks and financial tracking
  • Collaborate with management to provide insights into financial performance and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures
  • Monitor and control cash flow to support operational needs
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting to align financial plans with company goals
  • Ensure all financial tasks are completed in a timely and detail-oriented manner

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in full charge bookkeeping, including construction industry expertise
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly American Contractor and Excel
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
  • Familiarity with small business financial operations and challenges
  • Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and management
