Robert Half has a new direct-hire opportunity for a Bookkeeper for a company located near Westminster, MD area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing general and operational accounting duties. This position will give you the opportunity to grow your accounting knowledge and experience. Must be comfortable being the sole accountant for the business and partnering with an outside accounting firm as needed.
Job Responsibility:
Reconcile bank accounts monthly
verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks
Help with all operational accounting
Prepare journal entries
Assist with month-end close responsibilities
Post prepaid and accrued expenses journal entries
Bank reconciliations
Accounts payables and receivables
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
Reporting for anything finance and accounting related
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
5+ years' of experience working in Accounting
Knowledge of full-charge bookkeeping/accounting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly detail-oriented
