Our client in San Diego, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s financial records and supporting the leadership team with timely, insightful reporting. Job Responsibility

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, billing, and collections
  • Manage bank and credit card reconciliations and general ledger entries
  • Process payroll and handle related tax filings and reporting
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end and year-end close processes
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors as needed
  • Identify areas for process improvement and help implement solutions

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and payroll processing
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

  • Prepare journal entries and contribute to monthly and annual closing activities with organized supporting documentation
  • Maintain the general ledger with proper expense classification, including inventory-related activity and fixed asset records
  • Assist with payroll administration and help ensure tax filings and related reporting are submitted correctly and on schedule
  • Produce internal financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, cash flow summaries, and aging schedules for management review
  • Partner with operations and purchasing teams to monitor inventory, cost of goods sold, freight activity, and vendor pricing updates
  • Support audits, tax preparation, compliance reporting, and accounting needs across multiple business locations when applicable
