We are looking for a highly organized Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Rockland, Massachusetts. This long-term contract position offers flexible part-time hours (30-35 hours per week) and requires a detail-oriented individual to oversee comprehensive accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in bookkeeping, payroll, and financial management, alongside proficiency in Sage accounting software.
Job Responsibility:
Handle full-cycle bookkeeping processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded
Manage payroll operations, including timely processing and compliance with relevant regulations
Maintain and oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions
Reconcile bank accounts and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly
Generate and review financial reports to provide accurate insights into company performance
Support human resources functions, including administrative tasks related to employee records
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Collaborate with management to streamline financial workflows and improve efficiency
Utilize Sage accounting software for day-to-day operations and reporting
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for audits and reporting purposes
Requirements:
Proven experience in full-charge bookkeeping and accounting operations
Proficiency in Sage accounting software is required
Strong understanding of payroll processes and compliance
Hands-on experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive financial data
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and management
