We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing business in South Carolina. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who can bring stability, accuracy, and strong financial oversight in a hands-on environment. The person in this role will manage core bookkeeping functions, help maintain organized financial records, and contribute to smooth payroll and billing processes for a team of approximately 20 employees.
Job Responsibility
Manage the full bookkeeping cycle, including maintaining general ledger accuracy and supporting month-end financial activities
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions while ensuring timely posting and proper documentation
Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies to keep financial records current and accurate
Prepare and issue billing documents, including AIA billing, in accordance with customer and project requirements
Assist with payroll-related recordkeeping to help ensure employees are paid correctly and on schedule
Maintain QuickBooks records, update financial data consistently, and generate reports for operational review
Organize accounting documentation and strengthen day-to-day financial procedures in a changing business environment
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in full charge bookkeeping with responsibility for end-to-end accounting tasks
Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence using it for daily financial management and reporting
Hands-on experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Strong background in bank reconciliations and resolving account discrepancies
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records
Nice to have
Familiarity with AIA billing and related invoicing practices is preferred
