We are looking for a dependable Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Austintown, Ohio. This onsite opportunity is a contract position with potential for a permanent role and is ideal for someone who enjoys managing accounting activities in a part-time schedule of approximately 20–25 hours per week. The right candidate will bring strong bookkeeping knowledge, sound judgment, and hands-on experience supporting accurate day-to-day financial operations.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee routine bookkeeping functions by recording financial activity and keeping accounting records current and accurate
Handle incoming and outgoing payments by managing vendor invoices, customer balances, deposits, and disbursements
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions to confirm accuracy and identify issues promptly
Maintain the general ledger and post entries that support complete and organized financial reporting
Assist with payroll-related tasks and track employee or business expenses as needed
Prepare regular financial summaries and support month-end accounting activities
Review account activity, investigate discrepancies, and help resolve billing or payment concerns
Communicate with colleagues and external partners regarding invoices, account questions, and payment status
Requirements:
Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting support with responsibility for full-cycle financial tasks
Practical working knowledge of QuickBooks in a business accounting environment
Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage priorities effectively in a part-time onsite role
Strong communication skills and the ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, is preferred
