Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant to manage and oversee comprehensive accounting operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will excel in handling financial reporting, payroll processing, tax filings, and account reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to delivering precise financial results.

Job Responsibility:

Perform thorough reconciliations of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly
Prepare comprehensive financial closes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals
Manage and update fixed asset schedules, including calculating and recording depreciation
Handle payroll processing, schedule payment of payroll liabilities, and prepare and file payroll reports accurately and on time
Generate and distribute Form 1099s in compliance with regulatory guidelines
Prepare and file gross receipts tax, ensuring adherence to local and state regulations
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on full charge bookkeeping
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred but not required
Familiarity with preparing payroll, tax filings, and financial statements
