We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Mahwah, New Jersey. This role requires a skilled individual with strong attention to detail who can manage a variety of accounting and financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all bookkeeping activities. The position is fully onsite and offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the construction industry.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice management and payment tracking
Process payroll and ensure all payroll records are accurate and up to date
Manage billing for construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards
Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy
Maintain detailed and organized financial records and documentation
Provide support for general bookkeeping and accounting tasks as needed
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure smooth operations during the assignment period
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, preferably within the construction industry
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
Expertise in performing bank reconciliations with precision
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fully onsite environment
Strong communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders
Nice to have:
Familiarity with construction project billing is highly desirable
