Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support a small, highly specialized real estate development and design team focused on building custom luxury residences for ultra-high-net-worth clients. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to manage full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple high-value projects with accuracy and care. Job Responsibility:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices, retainers, and client billings
  • Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts across multiple projects or entities
  • Perform bank, credit card, and escrow account reconciliations
  • Process payroll and coordinate with third-party payroll and tax providers
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities
  • Track project-level costs across custom home builds, including construction, design, and professional services
  • Monitor budgets, draws, and cash flow for active projects
  • Assist with job costing, variance tracking, and financial reporting by project
  • Support lender, investor, or ownership reporting as required
  • Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages
  • Work closely with ownership, project managers, and external CPAs
  • Support tax preparation, audits, and entity-level reporting
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and records
  • Manage contracts, vendor agreements, and financial documentation with confidentiality
  • Support insurance, permitting-related financial documentation, and compliance tracking
  • Assist leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting needs

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping or full-cycle accounting
  • Prior experience in real estate development, construction, architecture, or luxury services strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of job costing, project accounting, and multi-entity structures
  • Experience with accounting software (construction or real estate systems a plus)
  • Payroll experience, either in-house or via third-party providers
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently in a small, hands-on environment
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with ownership
What we offer:

  • vision
  • dental
  • life and disability insurance
  • 401(k) plan
