Job Description:

The Fulfilment Operations Team Leader role focuses on managing and enhancing daily fulfilment operations to ensure efficient logistics and customer satisfaction. The position involves leading a diverse team, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines, driving environmental sustainability, and contributing to IKEA's long-term profitability. It requires scheduling flexibility, including weekend and public holiday work, and includes a full-time workload in a dynamic retail environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work closely with Fulfilment team to secure correct usage of short-term capacity of the store to maximize efficient logistics operations with the right balance in inbound and outbound volume
  • influence and lead Fulfilment Operations Co-workers within the assigned area to secure goods availability and enable customer order fulfilment at all times at the lowest cost
  • identify, recruit, retain and develop talent in Fulfilment Operations Team to execute assigned responsibilities with confidence and secure future succession
  • contribute to positioning the IKEA store and Brand as responsible partners in lowering environmental impact through sustainable and profitable actions
  • nurture a strong and thriving IKEA culture that inspires colleagues to reach extraordinary achievements, particularly in Fulfilment Operations Team
  • ensure Fulfilment Operations Co-workers comply with IKEA code of conduct, internal IKEA regulations, local legislation on health, safety, security, and the environment
  • contribute relevant input and feedback to logistics action plans and implement these actions in fulfilment operations processes
  • share knowledge of effective fulfilment operations to support competence development of colleagues and business partners, including understanding of health and safety principles in goods
  • secure effective daily fulfilment operations within assigned flows to ensure quality of products, merchandising, and stock accuracy
  • contribute to the goals of IKEA Value chain as stated in Global Service Protocol, local appendices and service agreements with Transport Service Providers.

Requirements:

  • Interested in home furnishing, people's life at home, and the IKEA product range

  • passion for logistics and working in a fast-paced and constantly changing retail environment
  • understanding of budget, cost and key performance indicators and how to use them to plan, follow up and steer the business
  • analytical and numerical skills
  • skilled in creating an efficient and cost-effective commercial performance
  • understanding and actively using all IKEA manuals, specifically the In-store Logistics the IKEA Way manual to build additional competence
  • understanding IKEA Code of Conduct, as well as regulations and legislation relating to health, safety and security
  • knowledge and skills of safe and efficient forklift driving methods confirmed by Forklift operator certifications according to IKEA rules and local legislation
  • ability to lead based on performing and delivering while learning and developing
  • ability to build trust and communicate in a clear and targeted way with different people in various situations
  • ability to successfully complete tasks within set timelines despite limited resources in a constantly changing and challenging environment, while also motivating and engaging team members to collaborate effectively under such conditions
  • ability to provide progress updates to the Fulfilment operations manager, actively communicate with team members, and effectively convey business changes to the team in a positive and motivating manner
  • ability to persuade and lead the business
  • ability to understand people and teams, drive improvement
  • able to work on weekends, public holidays and between 03:30 and 22:00 (40-hour workweek, 8 hours per day, 5 days a week).
