The Fulfilment Operations Inbound department secures excellence in the end-to-end goods inbound operation, including in-house receiving and replenishment, with a strong focus on stock availability. This role involves managing workflows, leading teams, operational expense management, process improvements, and cultivating a safety-focused team culture.
Job Responsibility:
Managing fulfilment operations from the front and through your Team Leaders and co-workers, securing safe, productive and well-planned workflow and the ability to respond well to manage changes
Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing Fulfilment Operations team, cultivating strong communication, flexibility, and an inclusive team culture
Implementing improvements, new processes, technologies, and ways of working to improve efficiency, safety, accuracy – effectively managing the changes to secure a better customer and co-worker experience
Building strong stakeholder and matrix relationships through internal collaboration within the Fulfilment team and with other functions as partners
Ensuring a strong and active safety culture is highly developed within the Good Flow team while complying with regulations, IKEA code of conduct, and local legislation
Nurturing co-worker well-being, managing performance and competence development, and actively leading succession pathways for Good Flow co-workers
Managing resources and operational expenses effectively to maximise efficiency, curb fulfilment costs, and minimise environmental impact.
Requirements:
Proven experience (3+ years) in warehouse management, preferably in distribution, retail, logistics or similar
Previous experience (3+ years minimum) demonstrating strong leadership skills and the initiative to coach large and diverse teams
Proven experience delivering business results, developing people, and building effective stakeholder relationships in a high-volume, structured environment
Thorough understanding of standard operating procedures and safe working requirements for fulfilment, with demonstrated experience leading safety culture
Strong analytical skills and an ability to understand budget, cost and key performance measurements and translate them into effective action plans
Competence in resource planning aligned with changing sales forecasts, and fulfilment flow allocation to ensure a productive workflow
Strong communication and leadership, with a demonstrated capacity to lead large teams, set clear priorities, delegate tasks effectively, provide constructive feedback when managing performance
