Job Description:

Responsible for the safe operation of commercial vehicle to deliver commercial products as required. Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols.

Job Responsibility:

  • Receives from Truck Dispatcher delivery schedule
  • Organizes for delivery route and makes all required preparations for delivery
  • Perform pre-delivery trip check on tank truck following Department of Transportation safety specifications
  • Drives a tank truck & trailer or tractor/ trailer to customer’s location
  • connects hose to tank and opens valves, reads gauges, record amounts delivered and leaves delivery ticket receipt with customer
  • Checks truck once to determine if repairs are necessary
  • Establishes/maintains good customer contact skills in handling customer’s questions or schedules
  • Calls customers before loading/leaving load rack to make sure customer can receive load
  • Maintains the assigned work areas, tank truck vehicle and/or its equipment in a clean and orderly manner
  • Follows, maintains and adheres to all safety rules and operating procedures for facilities, loading rack, and customer premises
  • Follows traffic laws and DOT regulations

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) or more years Experience in a related field
  • Must maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License

  • Loads and unloads tanker with petroleum products adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations

  • Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures
