Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Possess effective communication skills with supervisor, co-workers, customers, and public
Ability to apply troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to integrate mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Ability to maintain, diagnose, and repair basic computer-controlled systems used in the industry
Apply PC system installation, peripheral communication, configuration, and diagnosis

Job Responsibility

Perform startup, on-site repair, and maintenance of fuel storage tank and dispensing systems
Perform installation, programming, and startup of equipment
Perform on-site trouble shooting and service repair
Perform quality control tests on newly installed and repaired equipment
Perform general maintenance service calls such as change filters, calibrate meters, pump water from tanks and sumps, change hoses/nozzles, etc.
Complete and submit work orders, warranty forms, commissioning forms, and other required paperwork in a timely manner
Obtain and maintain industry and manufacturer certifications

Requirements

Current Active Duty Servicemember
Separating from the Military in 4-12 months
Able to complete a minimum of 8 weeks and up to a maximum of 6 months SkillBridge apprenticeship
Able to complete 40 hours per week
Mechanically minded
Valid & current Driver’s License and ability to drive extensively, sometimes up to 1,000 miles per week
Experience working with general handheld tools (pipe wrenches, pipe threader, voltmeter, etc.)
Organization and scheduling skills
Previous experience with laptop/ computer and printer along with experience using email, and Microsoft programs
Completion of background check, MVR and physical/drug screening

Job Responsibility

Complete required training classes, both in person and online, to obtain position required certifications
Complete and obtain 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate after initial 4-week training program
Complete training in the field with experienced Service Technicians and Designated Operators
A/B Operator Inspections, Monitoring System Certifications, Spill Bucket testing, vapor recovery testing, and other testing per state regulatory requirements
Diagnose and perform repairs on UST & AST systems
Work with handheld tools (pipe wrenches, pipe threader, voltmeter, etc.)
Complete project associated paperwork as required and submit on time
Enter inspection data / associated paperwork into online web-based data collection systems using company laptop
Complete timecard and work orders daily
Drive company work truck to client job sites

Maintaining and testing underground/aboveground fuel storage tanks
Complete and submit daily logs and job progress reports
Meeting deadlines for project completion
Provide support on construction and larger repair projects
Respond to maintenance and other service calls
Perform required Monitoring Certification, Secondary Containment, Spill Bucket testing, and vapor recovery testing per state regulatory requirements
Drive company work truck to client job sites, up to 100 miles per day
