Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fuel Accountant to join a fast-paced operation near the airport. This role will focus on high-volume data entry, fuel-related reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy across billing and inventory records.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform high-volume data entry of fuel tickets, invoices, and delivery logs with strong attention to accuracy
  • Reconcile fuel inventory, usage, and vendor invoices to ensure alignment across systems
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to fuel purchases, deliveries, and customer billing
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports and support month-end close
  • Monitor fuel pricing, volumes, and margins to ensure accurate reporting
  • Partner with operations and vendors to verify transactions and maintain accurate records
  • Maintain documentation and support audit requests as needed

Requirements

  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to inventory, fuel, or high-volume transactional environments
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and speed
  • Experience with account reconciliations and discrepancy resolution
  • Proficiency in Excel (basic formulas, lookups, data review)
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment
