Job Description:

As an FTS Representative, to provide technical support and assistance, and to maintain records of the actual conditions and application standards witnessed on site. To establish and to report whether Sigma Coatings products and systems are applied following the specified standards and recommended procedures, to protect Sigma Coatings against claims and complaints, whilst enhancing customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure that the guidelines, as provided by FTS BU MPC are followed
  • To keep accurate and detailed records of the projects and have the information correctly transferred to the right standard reporting forms in time, to ensure that Sigma Alon interests are protected
  • To attend the assigned projects and conduct job
  • In case of any deviation of the specified standards which may or could be the cause of a claim or complaint, immediately inform the responsible FTS Manager providing all relevant information
  • To give technical assistance to all parties involved on site (i.e. yard, contractor/sub-contractor, and any other user of our products) in respect to our products
  • To keep updated on the Sigma Coatings products and systems and use this to the benefit of Sigma
  • To pass on any relevant information of the Sigma Coatings or competitors’ products to the National FTS Manager or FTS Manager BU MPC (Central Office)
  • To be aware of the content of the Material Safety Data Sheets and be familiar with the local safety rules and regulations and follow them
  • To handle complaints carefully and in such a way that his/her actions and verbal or written reports/comments do not result in commitment or assumption of responsibility that is outside of his/her authorities, which could result in Sigma Coatings being held liable
  • In case of complaint (potential claim) the responsible FTS Manager must be informed(involved) immediately

Requirements:

  • High school/Polytechnic School/Ship-officer or seaman qualification or similar
  • Marine/Yard/PC or Contractor experience with a coating background
  • PC literate and internet communication
