Job Description:

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a hands-on Frontend Web Development Manager to lead the frontend layer of their global digital platform. The role involves leading an agile team, collaborating on reusable components, optimizing the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform, and ensuring performance and scalability of HPE.com.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of HPE.com, ensuring high availability, fast performance, and continuous improvement
  • Manage a distributed team of developers and web specialists
  • coach, assign tasks, and evaluate performance
  • Oversee relationships with digital agencies to ensure delivery excellence, clear scope, and optimized resources
  • Maintain and extend the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform, collaborating closely with internal IT teams and external vendors
  • Ensure responsive, cross-browser, and accessible experiences across mobile and desktop
  • Own and evolve the site architecture and information architecture (IA) for scalability and user experience
  • Partner with design and UX teams to uphold brand guidelines and elevate site design quality
  • Integrate design systems and reusable component frameworks to ensure consistency across experiences
  • Work with engineering to integrate APIs and backend services to support dynamic content and features
  • Support governance of the web platform by establishing best practices, documentation, and guidance for internal and external partners
  • Collaborate with SEO, analytics, and marketing teams to drive content performance, KPIs, and engagement goals
  • Plan and execute regular website updates, audits, and technical enhancements
  • Implement platform security protocols, maintenance routines, and backup procedures
  • Maintain documentation for platform components and development workflows
  • Align digital priorities with broader brand, campaign, and go-to-market strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in web design, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related field
  • 5–10 years of experience in web development and digital platforms
  • Demonstrated experience working in AEM-based enterprise websites
  • Proven leadership skills with small technical or cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of front-end and back-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms
  • Deep knowledge of site architecture and information architecture (IA) principles
  • Experience working with design systems and component-based design workflows
  • Understanding of API usage, structure, and integration into front-end platforms
  • Develop reusable components aligned with the enterprise design system and enforce consistency across templates and modules
  • Champion responsive design and ensure compatibility across browsers and devices
  • Mentor junior developers and partner with external vendors to drive code quality and frontend standards
  • Participate in architectural planning, IA modeling, and contribute to decisions on UI frameworks and tooling
  • Monitor site performance and make improvements for speed, accessibility, and interactivity
  • Work with analytics, SEO, and marketing teams to ensure frontend work aligns with business goals and KPIs
  • Maintain documentation and participate in frontend QA, testing, and governance efforts
