Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Front Office Application Support Engineer to join the technology team in Singapore.

Job Responsibility:

Provide production support front office strategic risk systems
Be responsible for the troubleshooting complex system and/or application issues and the deployment of code within a controlled change-management environment
Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Work with a highly qualified global team in follow the sun model
Work directly with Traders / Sales / MO clients to build trusted relationship and provide timely technical/functional support
Build automation and processes that reduce the impact of mistakes and eliminate recurring incidents

Requirements:

4+ years of systems engineering or technology architecture experience
Experience with observability toolsets commonly used in the financial services technology industry
An understanding of the ITIL® framework and processes for Incident, Problem, Change management
An understanding of the regulatory, and professional standards for financial services technology
Experience in supporting trading applications (Electronic Trading, Pricing, Booking, Risk) running on Linux, Windows or Cloud platforms and proficiency navigating those environments

Nice to have:

Sound knowledge of investment banking front to back workflow and financial products in Forex, Fixed Income, Equity and Derivatives product
Excellent knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, Perl) and SQL skills with relational database or Mongo DB
Experience with various CI/CD and monitoring tools such as ITRS Geneos, Splunk, JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible etc.
Knowledge in messaging middleware and market data system
Previous experiences in a high-paced, demanding trading floor environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effective collaboration with trading desk and business partners
