We are currently looking for a passionate Hotel Host to join the team here at Bankside Hotel - Voted one of the 'Best Places to Work in Hospitality' 3 years in a row. Sitting consistently in the top tier of all the hotels in London on Trip Advisor, Bankside Hotel is a social hub for anyone, guest or local, with a passion for culture, art and food.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for providing an authentic and loving welcome to all guests and visitors in the area of Front of House
  • Offer assistance throughout their stay in the hotel
  • Act as a local area guru, knowing attractions, hidden gems, bars and restaurants
  • Maximize revenue and promotion of hotels outlets where applicable
  • Manage reception duties, including day to day supervision of Reception in absence of senior Front Desk Management
  • Be familiar with all Reception tasks and ensure smooth running of front desk
  • Be fully knowledgeable in procedure of Checking-In and Checking-Out guests to Marriott brand standards
  • Abide by policies and procedures set in Quality Standards
  • Assist guests with luggage where necessary
  • Actively participate in upselling of rooms
  • Deal efficiently and courteously with guest enquiries or complaints
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by General Manager or management

Requirements

  • A proven track record as a receptionist, with a good knowledge of Opera or similar PMS (Beneficial)
  • Good level of English, other languages are an advantage
  • Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge
  • Happy, friendly, and approachable personality
