Job Description:

Our client in the Washington, DC region is seeking a talented Front-End Web Developer (FEWD) to support ongoing digital initiatives. This role is ideal for a developer who blends clean, modern UI development with strong attention to detail and a passion for building intuitive, responsive user experiences. You’ll collaborate with designers, product teams, and back-end developers to bring digital products, websites, and interactive features to life.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop responsive, accessible, and high‑performance web interfaces
  • Translate UI/UX wireframes and design comps into clean, maintainable code
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineering teams
  • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and cross‑browser compatibility
  • Maintain and update existing websites, landing pages, and digital assets
  • Troubleshoot UI issues and implement front-end best practices
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508)

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of professional front-end development experience
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
  • Experience with responsive design and mobile‑first development
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
  • Understanding of REST APIs and integrating front-end with back-end services
  • Experience working with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
  • Strong debugging, problem‑solving, and communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, etc.)
  • Knowledge of TypeScript
  • Familiarity with UI component libraries (Material UI, Bootstrap, Tailwind)
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Understanding of SEO best practices
