EnergyHub empowers utilities and their customers to create a clean, distributed energy future. We help consumers turn their smart thermostats, EVs, batteries, and other products into virtual power plants that keep the grid stable and enable higher penetration of solar and wind power. Our Utility Experience team is looking to hire a Front-end Engineer (Typescript/React). This role offers a great opportunity to work with the Engineering team that is responsible for the web application used by our clients and regularly collaborates with designers, application and data teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain and steward our utility-facing web application
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement a design system that enables our teams to build the UI/UX of the energy future
  • Support other teams as they build front-end features
  • Develop and steward tools, techniques, and best practices that benefit the entire team
  • React to and resolve novel technical, operational, and organizational challenges
  • Contribute to our team culture and inclusive environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of web application development experience
  • Strong React and TypeScript skills
  • Some experience developing backend APIs
  • Strong desire to learn

Nice to have:

  • Java experience is a big plus
  • MongoDb, MySQL, DynamoDb, Datadog, AWS
  • React Native experience
