A law firm in Berkeley is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to provide short-term administrative coverage. This fully onsite role will support daily front desk operations in a busy legal environment and is ideal for someone who has prior experience working within a law firm and understands the pace and professionalism required.
Job Responsibility
Manage front desk operations, including answering and routing incoming calls in a professional manner
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, scanning, and distributing to both onsite and remote staff
Coordinate correspondence via email and ensure timely and accurate delivery of documents
Scan, organize, and maintain files and records in accordance with firm practices
Support a hybrid office by coordinating needs between onsite attorneys/staff and remote team members
Maintain a polished, professional front office presence
Assist with general administrative and clerical tasks as needed during the coverage period
Requirements
Prior experience working in a law firm environment required
Experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative support role
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Comfortable handling high-volume correspondence (phone, email, and mail)
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Able to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office tools
