We are looking for a dedicated Front Desk Coordinator to join our team in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring a welcoming and detail-oriented environment. This is a long-term contract opportunity where you will play a vital role in supporting various administrative and customer service functions.
Job Responsibility:
Greet visitors and provide a positive first impression of the organization
Guide guests to the appropriate departments or staff members based on their needs
Offer accurate and timely information about city functions, policies, and services
Handle sensitive inquiries and complex requests by directing them to the correct personnel
Process utility bill payments, including drop box and walk-in transactions
Manage conference room reservations and appointment scheduling for public use
Update lobby display screens with current city information
Perform mailroom duties such as operating equipment and managing mail processes
Assist with administrative projects for various city departments
Requirements:
Proven experience in receptionist or front desk roles, preferably in a government or detail-oriented setting
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals
Proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems and managing inbound calls
Familiarity with administrative tasks such as scheduling and payment processing
Ability to operate mailroom equipment and perform related functions
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to maintain a high standard when handling sensitive or complex inquiries
